Her paintings have been described by one gallery owner as “architecture of painting.” “I create my artwork for an audience, my objective is to transform my materials so that they appear to be living colours in states of movement” says Jane.
Commissioned by clients around the world her work adorns luxury hotels and homes, Jane’s works of art are known for their sense of timelessness, simplicity and balance. Rich colours and texture inspired by influential vibrancy of Hong Kong culture and the raw natural beauty of her New Zealand upbringing.
She fell in love with the process of commission working with her clients to create site specific artwork, for Jane the challenge has always been to find the something unique for each client, “I love the joy of discovery”, she says “things have to change in order to stay fresh, for me the difference is in the detail.”
The result is an ever-changing beautiful body of work that intertwines the desires of her clients with the aesthetic beauty of the finished piece, each project leads the artist toward a new beginning.
Proficient in painting, ceramics, steel work and more, Jane dedicated her passion and commitment to creating art programmes that are unique, beautifully crafted and specific to each client – the complete package, original artwork, limited editions, printed editions, ceramics, steel work, bronze, and public space works.
Since her first exhibition when she was only 18 years old Jane has exhibited her work in solo and group shows around the world. Her works are in public and private collections, adorning walls in luxury hotels, clubhouses, and corporate offices in China, USA, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, New Zealand, Australia and UK.
